With an example on a realized system in the confectionery industry we show the challenges of typical raw materials like sugar, cacao, milk powder, … 
Storing, discharging, weighing and dosing of large and small components as well as the exact feeding of mixers, kneaders, mills and conches are the basis for the manufacturing of quality products. Besides the high weighing accuracy even with high throughput capacities, the process and product security becomes important.
